How It Works

How It Works: The GEN Community Model

Lola GEN is built on the idea that communication is strongest when it starts locally and expands outward.

The network is designed around communities.

250+ members form what is known as a GEN Star Community. Within this community:

  • Members can communicate locally
  • Information can be shared and accessed within the group
  • Local infrastructure supports connectivity even when global systems are unavailable

These communities become building blocks.

As more communities form:

  • They connect with one another
  • They create regional layers
  • They contribute to a broader global communication network

Even outside of a formal community, individual members can:

  • Carry a device capable of multiple communication methods globally
  • Connect to other communities while traveling
  • Communicate directly with nearby devices when needed

At its simplest level, each device functions like a professional-grade two-way radio.

At its most advanced, it becomes part of a layered global communication system and a portable data center.

This creates a network that is:

  • Local when it needs to be
  • Global when it can be
  • Independent when it must be
